FedEx orders 120 electric trucks from Electric Startup Xos

International Logistics Firm FedEx has ordered 120 electric trucks from Xos. These are to be deployed in California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Texas. Delivery is expected to be in the fourth quarter of 2021 and 2022. The electric commercial vehicle manufacturer Xos was known as Thor Trucks until 2019. The California based company unveiled a prototype electric truck in late 2017 . Volkswagen begins electric truck production in Brazil

Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus (VWCO) started to begin the series production of its first all-electric truck in Brazil on Monday June 14 2021. The South American brand is manufacturing their brand new e-Delivery distribution truck in the Brazilian city of Resende. They plan to initially to produce 1,000 to 3,000 units per year. The truck is intended for urban distribution transport and is scheduled for market launch in July 2021. The Ambev brewery from Brazil has been announced as the first customer. Voltia is starting to use their electric delivery trucks on Austrian roads

Voltia just got the license to operate its refrigerated electric van. Voltia uses a prototype based on the Nissan e-NV200 XL van as its base. The approval is for Austria. There is a gap in the market for fully electric cooling vans, and Voltia worked with high-tech companies and research partners to develop a zero emission solution. Voltia (based in Slovakia and specialising in zero-emission deliveries ) developed the e-transporter for two Austrian scientific climate protection projects: ZERO Logistics and CONSERVE. Macnica in Japan today was suspiciously posting a video of the long awaited autonomous & electric baggage handling product AT135 by Navya and Charlatte Autonom. At this point in time it is just a rumour that it could launch but the timing is interesting. If you want to learn more about the Autonom Tract check the video below.
