EV Startup Fisker Automotive is planning to launch two more electric models by 2025. These new models will follow the Ocean electric SUV and the Pear which Fisker developed together with Foxconn. However, according to company founder Henrik Fisker, the prices for the vehicles will be positioned significantly above the Ocean.
Both new models will be significantly more expensive than the first two. Fisker is talking about a price over $100,000 for one of the new models, the other is to be below that mark.
As Henrik Fisker recently announced, the two new models will be developed in the UK. Both are intended for series production, but presumably not in Britain and not in such large volumes as the Ocean and Pear.
Fisker told Auto Express: “We are on full speed to deliver four distinct vehicle lines by 2025, driving innovation forward and pushing radical new ideas into the global car market.”
According to the Danish-born Fisker who co-founded the US company with founded his wife Geeta Gupta-Fisker, the two new models will be “very different”. “They’re going to go in in a segment which I would say maybe one exists a little bit but it’ll be a twist on it and the other one doesn’t exist at all,” Fisker said in his usual nebulous manner.
Fisker has not yet named possible manufacturing partners. The Ocean is planned to be built by Magna and the Pear by Foxconn. Although both cars are to be developed in the UK by a team led by former Aston Martin engineer David King, Fisker described the chance of manufacturing on the island as “very slim”.
