Australian Pricing for Audi’s Luxurious Q8 55 e-Tron Electric SUV Confirmed

Audi has announced the specifications and pricing for its luxurious new Q8 55 e-tron electric SUV, targeting Australia’s high-end market.

The vehicle comes in two standard variants and a special Launch Edition with the following prices:

  • Audi Q8 55 e-tron: $153,900 before on-road costs
  • Audi Q8 Sportback 55 e-tron: $165,900 before on-road costs
  • Audi Q8 55 e-tron Launch Edition: $165,900 before on-road costs

The Launch Edition will feature extra sports and interior enhancements which elevates the standard Q8 55 e-tron that first premiered in 2018.

Distinctive Features of Launch Edition

This special edition comes with 21-inch Audi sport alloy wheels in metallic black, blacked-out Audi logo rings, mirror caps, and roof rails. The interior boasts exclusive leather on the steering wheel, unique stitching on the upholstery, and stainless-steel pedals.

Jeff Mannering, the director of Audi Australia, expressed excitement about the new addition. He emphasized the model’s ideal combination of luxurious features and practicality which makes it a perfect fit for the Australian market.

The Q8 e-tron offers dual-zone climate control, upgraded to four-zone in the Sportback variant. The vehicle is also equipped with a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, an 8.6-inch virtual cockpit, and a 12.3-inch navigation and driver feedback screen. 

Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a wireless charger are standard.

The new Q8 e-tron boasts impressive dimensions:

  • Length: 4,915 mm
  • Width: 1,937 mm
  • Height: 1,619 mm (Sportback) or 1,633 mm (SUV)

The vehicle offers a boot space of 569 liters in the standard model and 528 liters in the Sportback, along with a 62-liter ‘frunk’.

Both models feature improved aerodynamics. The vehicle comes with a standard air suspension, adapting to various road conditions. Meanwhile, its powertrain offers 300 kW of power and 664 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 5.6 seconds.

The SUV is powered by a 114 kWh battery to support charging speeds up to 170 kW. It can be charged from 10-80% in 31 minutes and offers up to 454 km of range. A six-year public charging subscription via Chargefox comes as an additional perk.

Warranty and After-Sales Support

The Q8 e-tron includes a six-year scheduled servicing plan, roadside assistance, a five-year car warranty, and an eight-year battery warranty.

The new Q8 55 e-tron and Sportback versions will arrive in Australia in Q4 2023, with other models from the Q8 e-tron range to be expected in 2024.
