Beverage Wholesaler Tri-Eagle to lease 10 Nikola Tre electric trucks

Florida-based beverage wholesaler Tri-Eagle Sales has agreed to lease ten Nikola Tre battery-electric trucks. The first deliveries are scheduled for 2022.

Through the fleet-as-a-service leasing model utilised by Tri-Eagle Sales, Ring Power will provide sales, repairs, maintenance and installation of the charging infrastructure required to operate the e-trucks throughout the lease term.

The Nikola Tre is Nikola’s electric Class 8 tractor unit, built in a low-volume production facility in Ulm, Germany, starting this year. The first Trucks are to go to selected customers in the USA.

“We expect the Nikola dealer network to be a key component in delivering innovative zero-emissions products to our customers,” explained Nikola Energy and Commercial President Pablo Koziner. “Ring Power intends to provide not only the sales, parts, and service solutions for the Nikola trucks leased by Tri-Eagle, but also the related electric vehicle charging infrastructure.”

Tri-Eagle Sales is a beverage wholesaler founded in 1996 that operates primarily in North Florida. The company says it serves more than 2,000 retail customers from its two locations in Tallahassee and Ocala.

Partnering with Ring Power and Nikola is a natural next step for us as it furthers our commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship,” said Tripp Transou, Chief Executive Officer, Tri-Eagle Sales.

“We are very excited to be one of the first beverage distribution companies in the U.S. to start electrifying their fleet.”
