Dodge is about to go electric

I just saw that the next company is about to launch their first electric vehicles. As well all know Dodge is now part of the french Stellantis group and the attitude towards EV changed dramatically. Six all-electric vehicles are currently in the styling studio in Auburn Hills, Michigan And more are in various stages of development.

Companies have to change with the times and as we know now the demand for electric vehicles is there. Thanks Tesla! There is a dramatic change happening throughout the auto industry and Dodge doesn’t want to miss out either. Ford, for one, has nearly tripled its commitment to battery technology in the last year. Volkswagen has committed $86 billion to electrify its various brands.

And General Motors is planning to abandon gas and diesel technology entirely by 2035. These are ambitious goals. So whats in store for Stellantis subsidiary Dodge?

Since Dodge’s fastest model to date ( Dodge Challenger Demon) sprints from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.3 seconds  The Detroit Bureau assumes that the envisaged BEV will be an extremely powerful electric vehicle with even higher acceleration. This should get some great press if you ask me since Tesla just launched the Model S Plaid which can do the 60mph in less than 2 seconds.

Let’s see what Dodge comes up with. I am excited to welcome another major brand to the “we go electric” world
